About this Course

The PG Diploma in School Counselling is designed to address the increasing demand for skilled professionals capable of supporting the mental well-being of students in today's rapidly changing socio-economic landscape. As children face heightened levels of stress, school counsellors play a crucial role in fostering their psychological resilience and overall well-being. Through this program, students will develop a deep understanding of child psychology, abnormal psychology, and learning difficulties, enabling them to identify and address the diverse psychological needs of school children effectively. Additionally, students will acquire essential counselling techniques and proficiency in psychological testing methodologies, equipping them with the necessary tools to provide guidance and support to students at all levels of school education. Upon completion of this diploma, graduates will be well-prepared to serve as effective school counsellors, contributing to the holistic development and success of students in educational settings.

Eligiblity

  • Bachelor's degree holder / Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University.
  • International / SAARC  Graduate from a recognised / accredited University / Institution.
  • Students who have appeared for final year of examination of their bachelor's degree program and are awaiting results can also apply, subject to successfully completing their bachelor's degree program / graduation within the time period specified by SCDL.
