About this Course

Agriculture and Agribusiness form the backbone of India's economy, providing employment to 54% of the population. The sector presents vast opportunities across industries such as packaging, raw material supply, processed food production, exports, and related fields, leveraging modern technology for growth. There exists substantial untapped potential in Agribusiness, awaiting proper management strategies to transform it into a high-growth sector with lucrative returns. Our Postgraduate Program in Agribusiness aims to equip individuals with the skills to establish and develop global networks within the Agri-based industry, enabling them to initiate and manage various Agribusiness ventures, especially in marketing and distribution. The objective of the program is to: Develop a deep understanding of Agribusiness fundamentals, marketing strategies, and supply chain management techniques. Gain insights into domestic and international Agribusiness markets while learning to leverage ICT tools and social media for effective management. Acquire knowledge of financial management principles tailored to Agribusiness ventures to enable strategic decision-making and sustainable growth. By mastering these objectives, participants will be well-prepared to navigate the complexities of Agribusiness and harness its full potential for growth and prosperity.

Eligiblity

  • Bachelor's degree holder / Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University.
  • International / SAARC  Graduate from a recognised / accredited University / Institution.
  • Students who have appeared for final year of examination of their bachelor's degree program and are awaiting results can also apply, subject to successfully completing their bachelor's degree program / graduation within the time period specified by SCDL.

Duration And Validity

  • The duration of the program is one year.
  • The registration period is valid for two academic years.
